HOW CAN I PLUG MY IPHONE EARBUDS INTO MY LAPTOP AND USE THE MICROPHONE?

I wish to have use of my iPhone earbuds to have phone calls by my laptop (specifically by Skype). I need a splitter which allows them to block in to the headphone (out) and microphone (in) ports. What is this splitter called and where can I buy one?
