HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR IPHONE RINGTONE ONE YOU GOT FROM A TEXT?

I have an iPhone (as you already know) and i get lots of cool sounds or things similar to which from my friends promulgation me content messages. I would similar to to know if it is probable to have those sounds in to ringtones? If it is probable can you discuss it me how? Thank you for your imput.
