I don't think it's a good idea. You can get GPS systems fairly cheap now a days. The problem with the iPhone GPS is that it is not turn by turn directions with voice. It does not re-route you if you miss a turn. It is as if you were following directions printed out from mapquest.com. With an actual GPS, it will tell when to turn, if you miss a turn and now they will re-route you to a quicker route if there is heavy traffic. The iphone simply shows instructions and that's it. You could go down the wrong road for miles before you relize your not on the right road. Where as an actual GPS won't let that happen. Good luck!
