IS THERE AN IPHONE APP THAT ALLOWS FREE INTERNATIONAL TEXTING?

I wish to content my friends from Canada and Australia, but I do not have the plan. Is there an iPhone app which will concede me to do this. I would similar to an app which would concede me to send to them even yet they do not have an iPhone either, and I’d similar to it to show up as my series of possible, but if not that’s ok. Also to be underneath $2. Thanks to any one who can help.
